People Currently Experiencing Homelessness
Los Angeles County is divided into eight geographically-based Service Planning Areas (SPA). Each SPA has homeless services agencies that connect individuals, families and transition-aged youth to resources.
Use LA County’s District Locator tool to find out which SPA you’re located in by inputting your location.
Here are a few ways to find services near you
Call 211 or visit 211LA.org
211 LA is the central source for providing information and referrals for all health and human services in LA County.
Visit an Access Point or Center
If you are on the Westside of Los Angeles, visit The People Concern’s Access Center at 503 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90401. (310) 450-4050
Hours are Mon-Fri 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
* Tuesday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
* We are closed the 1st & 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Request outreach
Request outreach for yourself or others through Los Angeles Homeless Outreach Portal (LA-HOP). The People Concern and other social service agencies have outreach teams throughout LA County that meet people where they are.
Coordinated Entry System (CES)
To be eligible for housing resources, individuals experiencing homelessness will go through an in-take process, so that they can then be connected to available resources within the Coordinated Entry System (CES). To be entered into CES you must first complete an intake survey that will assess your unique needs. This could be done at an Access Point/Center or with Outreach Teams.
You can find contact information for CES lead agencies through LAHSA’s CES Leadership Contact List or by calling (800) 548-6047.
Interim Housing and Drop-In Services
The People Concern currently operates interim housing and drop-in services in Santa Monica (SPA 5) and Downtown (SPA 4). Please note, The People Concern’s interim housing is accessible through referrals only and we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
If you have questions regarding Kensington Campus in SPA 1, please call (661) 270-8640.
If you are looking for services in SPA 5, please call (310) 450-4050 or visit our Access Center.
