We at Sisters of Sojourn (SOS) are thrilled to invite you to attend our 18th annual fundraiser, “Del Rey Soirée,” on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the California Yacht Club.

The event — which will benefit Adams House, the only second-stage facility in the region to help battered victims — will include drinks, dinner, a silent auction and a live supper-club-style performance by Chris Norton, whose musical repertoire ranges from Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra to Van Morrison.

Adams House provides victims of domestic violence with up to six months of safe housing, legal advocacy, education, and service-enriched programs, enabling them to regroup, rebuild and reestablish their esteem and lives following their trauma. Adams House is a service of Sojourn, the second-oldest domestic violence shelter in California and the primary such facility on the Westside of Los Angeles. The mission of Sojourn, which has been serving adult and child victims of domestic violence since 1977, is to empower people to rebuild their lives and to stop the cycle of violence in families. Sojourn provides a full range of services to more than 3,000 adults each year, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

All proceeds from our annual fundraiser go directly to Adams House. Last year we raised funds which supported over 40% of Adams House’s annual operating budget. Your involvement will make a positive impact on the lives of Sojourn’s adults and children in need.

We hope that you will join us on May 12 for what promises to be an exciting evening for the benefit of a worthwhile cause.
