We are pleased to announce the grand opening of our second partnership with Linc Housing on a permanent supportive housing (PSH) facility located n the City of Long Beach! Bloom at Magnolia will offer 39-units of PSH to individuals transitioning out of homelessness. We are proud to be selected to be the on-site supportive services provider.
This is a collaborative effort between the Department of Health Services (DHS) and Housing for Health (HFH). Bloom at Magnolia is sponsored by DHS and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH). “We are very excited to be the service provider for Bloom at Magnolia. To break the cycle of homelessness, which in itself increases the likelihood of police interaction, program participants are referred to ODR with the goal of long-term stabilization, permanent housing and reduced recidivism rates. Program participants are connected to supportive services including mental health care, medical care and substance use services as well as permanent housing. Our job is to help our neighbors begin the next phase of their lives – living independently and retaining housing,” says Heather Gibbs, Director of Project-Based Housing Service Planning Areas 6-8 for The People Concern. Residents at Bloom at Magnolia receive on-site comprehensive services provided by our multidisciplinary team.
