The grand unveiling of The Ray Grutzmacher Family Community, our second permanent supportive housing community developed in partnership with FlyawayHomes, was a huge success! Together, with our strategic partners FlyawayHomes, we held a grand unveiling and building dedication of our newly completed permanent supportive housing (PSH) community located in South Los Angeles. Named after CEO John Maceri’s late husband Ray Grutzmacher, the Ray Grutzmacher Family Community includes 16 two-bedroom units, a community room, case management offices, on-site laundry, Wi-Fi, an outdoor barbeque and seating area and a dog run for our furry residents.
The Ray Grutzmacher Family Community will be home to 16 families transitioning out of homelessness. Our teams will provide each family with complete wraparound services included on-site case management, linkage to income assistance, employment services, substance use services, medical and mental health care. We are honored to provide housing and services to these formerly unsheltered families.

“It’s an honor to have this building named after Ray. He was a very early supporter and investor of FlyawayHomes. I was grateful for his support as I am grateful for all of the investors who have stepped up and leaned into innovative solutions to end homelessness, we couldn’t have done it without you. This is the second project with FlyawayHomes but it will not be the last. Our goal is to have hundreds of communities around L.A County so that we can see thousands of our unhoused neighbors move indoors.” says John Maceri CEO of The People Concern.
