As we say goodbye to 2021 and enter into the new year, we reflect on the impact your generosity has had on the people we serve. With your support, our dedicated teams helped 600 people experiencing homelessness move into homes last year. Together, we continued to provide comprehensive supportive services to more than 2,700 program participants living in permanent housing, ensuring that our neighbors never fall into homelessness again. Our outreach teams across L.A. County engaged with 12,585 people, providing services and housing resources to our neighbors still living on the streets. Our drop-in centers served more people than ever; the Annenberg Access Center in Santa Monica and Public Toilets, Showers & Laundry program in Skid Row provided 140,584 showers and 5,323 loads of laundry to our unhoused neighbors. Your support has allowed us to respond to the growing demand for our services and to lean into permanent, long-term housing solutions so that all of our neighbors can be housed, healthy and safe.
“In spite of the challenges of the pandemic, we’ve been able to continue to move forward and we’ve done that with your support. On behalf of everyone at The People Concern, our Board of Directors, our staff, our dedicated volunteers and most importantly, the people we serve, thank you!”, says John Maceri, CEO of The People Concern.
